A current hunting license issued by the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife is required in order to hunt in Delaware. Additionally, a Fisherman Information Network (FIN) number given by the State is required. This number is free and is generated immediately when a fishing license is purchased. Furthermore, you could need stamps, permits, tags, or passes for certain wildlife regions, seasons, or species. If you are using a crossbow or were born after January 1, 1967, you also need to finish a hunter education course.

To use Digital DNREC, you must first register your personal information and establish an account. Online harvest reporting, profile updates, and license renewal are also available.

Delaware hunting license exempt number (LEN)
For those who are exempt from buying a hunting license, the Delaware Hunting License Exempt Number (LEN) is a free identification number that may be obtained online via Digital DNREC. People under the age of thirteen or older than sixty-five, active duty military personnel, members of the National Guard, disabled veterans, former POWs, and legally blind people are all excluded. Under 13 non-residents who are escorted by a licensed adult are excluded as well.
